I developed the project “Iris” during my master studies at ENSCI in the workshop of Interactive Design under direction of Helen Evans and Heiko Hansen from HeHe collective.
Subject: Body control / Body Language
Body language is a part of paralanguage or kinesics. Paralanguage includes all non verbal communication used to convey emotions such as
,
etc., sounds (creams, shrieks) or indeed, body language. Body language can be categorised as: proximity, facial expression, gesture, posture, eye contact.
As a web designer I proposed a concept that explores the possibility of using your eyes as navigation “tool” (image 1) instead of a mouse or a finger. I imagined a future utilisation of Metro map of Paris as an interactive interface that can be controlled with our eyes.
Inspiration: DontClick.it

Image 1
A user activates the interactive Metro map with it’s proximity. The screen moves to adapt to the user’s hight (image 2).

Image 2
We select the destination with our eyes (image 3) and we confirm it with a blink (image 4).

The proposed path appears on screen (image 5). We can store this proposition on our PDA via BlueTooth or mobile phone by getting an SMS.
